A bit overdue...... Random pics.

The Sunday before Chris went to Germany he offered to look after Sarah and Ronan to give me the day off. I went exploring and shopping in Omotesando, a great shopping district. I have to confess I spent the most time and money in 'Kiddyland'. Such an amazing shop. Anyway, Chris and the kids had a great day and went for a walk to Tokyo Tower. Sarah loves it and is desperate to go up to the top. Will wait for a nice clear day then give it a try.

These are photos of the gardens around the Imperial Palace. We had gone in search of some nice open space, grass and trees. It was really pretty, so green and fresh.

Unfortunately it rained.

PEEK A BOO!

Ronan's favorite game is hiding and then being chased. He thinks it's the funniest thing!

10 Months old today and mom's got the camera in my face again!

These two adore each other so much, they are the best of friends. They play together all the time and have cuddles whenever they can. It's very sweet and I can only hope it lasts forever.

On Sarah's last day of school holiday I took the children up to the Observation Deck in the Mori Tower. It's on the 52nd floor and gives a 360' view of Tokyo, the whole city, the sea and the mountains. It wasn't a clear day, we'll have to go up again to get a really good view of it all. It just gives you some idea of how massive Tokyo is. They have different exhibitions on the Observation Deck according to the season, at the moment it's an Aquarium. They had some amazing fish and their way of displaying the tanks with special lighting and crystals is incredible. My photos didn't come out though, it was too dark. In her own words, Sarah "really enjoyed" it.

And finally, Sarah's first day of school. She is attending Willowbrook International School, Tokyo. It's a very nice preschool, great location, within walking distance of our new apartment. She is in the Tsuki class, an English language class. They do about 20 minutes of Japanese language and culture a day so they will learn a little. There are 18 children in her class, aged 3 - 4, many different nationalities. Her teacher's name is River and she has 2 assistants, Ai and Yoko. Sarah loves it. She's had 2 days there and has fitted in brilliantly. Once again, Sarah's amazing ability to adapt to new and strange situations has amazed me and I'm so proud of her. She's made this whole move that much easier for us as we don't have to worry about her at all.
